We’ve all seen it in the films – the bride gallops away on a horse while the groom has a panic attack and bolts for the door in an apparent demonstration of ‘wedding jitters’. It has been much parodied on the silver screen, but wedding anxiety is a real condition that requires due respect.
It might be related to a fear of commitment, a phobia of being the centre of attention or an anxiety created by the stress of having to make arrangements and placate warring family members. Regardless of the cause, the effects can range from being just a general annoyance to becoming so debilitating that they prompt sufferers to question whether they should be getting married at all.
With Shaan’s effective techniques, plus a bit of practice, these fears can be reduced and managed, leading to a far happier run-up to the big day.
His innovative combination of hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy and the newest mind development techniques can help those with nuptial anxieties to eliminate the thought patterns which lead to panic, to remove any triggers and discover ways in which to regain control of their emotions – enabling clients to focus on the joy of the situation instead.
Shaan’s treatment programme additionally includes a personalised MP3 recording that complements the session, offering some easily accessible support on the go.
This hopefully short-lived fear could strike at any time – be it a month, a week or an hour before “I do”. In which case, our unique out of hours telephone service is perfect for providing clients with that last bit of confidence before the event itself.
How many sessions will I need?
Naturally, this varies from person to person and depends on how much time there is before the wedding date. Usually, we would suggest three or four sessions to achieve the best results.
